スキー

Initially I was hesitant to put up this picture that Jonathan took of me because I look kinda...stoopid. But then again, who doesn't on his/her 2nd try at skiing ( i wasn't a big fan of the Jurong East fake ski thingy)

5 steps to the Winter Olympics

1. Learn how to walk with 4 feet long soles. That includes climbing up slopes sideways. Think crabs.

2. Learn how to S.T.O.P. <-- This is highly recommended

3. Learn how to turn so that you can start avoiding people instead of the other way round

4. Build confidence! Now get up to that mountain and come down some way or other. *shoves*

5. Practice, Practice, practice. Try not to slam into alpine trees. A nice Japanese chick would be a better option.

So you see. 5 Simple steps! Anyone can do it! (The author is now at Level 3.5)

Somedays I have to slap myself to remind myself that I live in Japan, the land where everything gaming lands first。 Was playing with this nifty bugger at Yodobashi kamera today and I was totally blown away

Maybe its because its white and ipoddish and allows me to play Legend of Zelda. I never saw myself as one of those geeks who would rush in on launch day just to buy it before everyone else. Well. Never say never. (with the right accessories you can watch TV and surf the net on this beaut)

PS: I promise the pics from the Ski trip and Munakata village shots would be up soon,

Downing Mongolian alcohol.

Well, I have been hitting the international circuit of restaurants after I've been in Fukuoka, and here's one place somewhere near Yoshizuka, where we went to celebrate Chihiro's birthday. From the outside it looks just like a container, but inside... woohoo...is decorated like a Mongolian Yurt! We sat down and had an 8 course dinner, including snone-grilled lamb (see picture)

That's horse milk wine by the way.

So they made us put on funky Mongolian traditional clothes, and ever so often the boss would come out from the kitchen with a bottle of alcohol and he would start singing this catchy song that everyone learnt pretty quickly, while pouring alcohol into cups of lucky patrons... and this doesnt stop till the bottle was empty. Then one of the kitchen helpers came out (also Mongolian), and serenaded us with a Mongolian steppe-song. Wow.

So went the eight course dinner....taking photographs..

Put up your hand if you think Julia is one hot lady!

The whole gang. I sortof look silly (as usual), but Huurshid and Bakhrom, being Uzbek, look right at home in that attire.. wow. Theme restaurants rock!

Well, basically I am choosing my modules for next semester, and there are now options of me taking law in Japanese. However, let us do a comparison shall we?

An extract from the WTO treaty that I studied last semester. It takes a good 5 minutes to underline and digest the convulated English.

THIS on the other hand is a simple news article about Corporate Governance, using the Livedoor scandal as an example. When I say simple, I meant as simple as newspaper articles get. And it took me 30 minutes figuring out what the writer was trying to say, and another 15 minutes thinking of what I have to say about it.

And as lifeblooddraining as the latter is, I guess I will be choosing it over the one in English. I must be insane.

Its V-day again. For those who are single, hide. For those who celebrate it, happy valentine's day. :)

I think I just arrived after work trekking through a snowstorm, hence the "..." expression. haha

Its great to have a nice pub in your own backyard (of sorts). Been spending way too much time at this Underground pub. Love Nightlife + Love Music + Enjoy making playlists on iTunes + Enjoy talking with new folks. I wonder why I never thought of being a DJ earlier毎週の金曜日DJ Bull と DJ Takuyaが俺にDJ機械の機能を教えてくれているから、本当に勉強になりました!

Miyajima Island 宮島

Well, this marks the last of the Hiroshima photo series. I am not getting down to serious work. Anyway I really like the new World counter that Ive placed on my blog (on the right!) It tells me exactly where my readers are... and I can guess... Helsinki is Xianzhi, Kyoto is Cheryl, Toronto is probably Daryl, but America... America... hmmm...
